Starting a PhD means there have been a lot of firsts for this mom, but my son has had a lot of firsts too: his first day of school, his first steps, and, as of yesterday, his first haircut! I feel so lucky to have such an adventurous, inquisitive, and darn cute child. I can't wait to see all the amazing things he does as he grows up.
