May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and I learned so much while writing this article on the origins of AAPI Heritage Month for History.com.
AAPI Heritage Month 2022 remembers the victims of all violence, harassment, bullying, and hate crimes against AAPI people across the country and around the world. One step towards stopping anti-Asian violence and hatred is to educate people about the history of Asian Americans and the vital contributions we have had to U.S. culture.
Stop Asian hate, stand in solidarity with the AAPI community, and celebrate our contributions and achievements during AAPI Heritage Month and always.
