Happy Holidays from Mom, PhD
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas from us at Mom, PhD! We've been in full family mode, hanging out at our house and neighborhood and doing cozy things. It's been nice to have an uninterrupted stretch of days to just be together. For me, it's an especially enjoyable time since I finished my finals about a week ago; I'm still basking in the afterglow of a completed semester.

Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to: We went shopping in Walnut Creek and took photos with Santa on Christmas Eve. On Christmas, we started the day off by opening presents and eating chocolate chip pancakes. At night, we went to a Chinese restaurant in Albany. We also had the day after Christmas off together, so we had a productive day running errands for the house and even had time to decorate a gingerbread house! And of course, we have been lighting our menorah for the past few days as well! Happy Chrismukkah!

It's been chill, calm, and cozy here: all things we want during winter break. I'm starting to sketch out my new year‘s resolutions and plan a family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration. What are you planning to do? Let me know at minhae.shim.roth@gmail.com
